幼儿英语学习的误区是什么?

  一、过分强调刻苦学习英语

  刻苦是一种美德,但父母应该告诉孩子:学习本来就应该是一件快乐的事情,发自人的求知需求,是人类天性中的一部分。但事实上中国的孩子们学习英语的兴趣会被许多外界压力,或不切实际的短期目标所扭曲。盲目地逼孩子们死记硬背英语单词,拼命地研究语法,而忽略了实际应用。更严重的是,这会让孩子们失去对学习英语的兴趣,甚至会导致讨厌英文。

  二、过于强调基础学习

  什么是基础?ABC的写法?还是“自然拼读法”关于单词的拼法?又或者是说话的语法?

  其实语言的学习必须从基础开始是一个错觉。学习英语时应该好好想想自己学习母语的经验:在我们开始学习说话时,你并没有接触过任何的所谓的“基础”和“拼音”,而是听妈妈和周围的人说话,然后进行一遍又一遍的模仿。学习英语也一样,过于强调基础学习会导致孩子们英语水平与实际年龄出现严重的不平衡,更严重的是使孩子们失去对说英语的自信和信心,最终变成哑巴。

  作为一名合格的幼儿英语老师,不但要有比较高水准的英语表达和运用能力,还要熟知幼儿心理发展的教育理论,更要有实践经验。但是国内目前这样合格的双语幼儿老师非常罕见:很多幼儿教育机构聘请的外教可能并不是专业老师,只是为了迎合父母的需求而准备了一张“外国脸”,这些不称职的“老师”势必会造成孩子英语学习的困惑。所以把幼儿的英文教育完全交给学校和老师是远远不够的,最重要的是要有父母的积极参与。

  现在大多数的情况是:孩子放学后回到家里,完全脱离了英文环境,条件好一点的就只靠一周两次的补习,这样就想让孩子学好英文,几乎是不可能的。学好一种语言,最重要的就是环境,其实学习语言最好的环境是自己家中,如果父母每天能用英文与孩子进行哪怕只是简单的会话,也会对孩子的英文学习有难以想象的帮助。
